The mission of The WDA is to discover, cultivate, and produce audacious theatrical works by writers, directors, and other generative theatre artists which challenge current ways of thinking so as to actively expand cognitive and emotional empathy for the world we live in.  From multi-disciplinary productions to community-based education programs, we are committed to creating and amplifying the voices and stories of our diverse American existence.
